I received these diffusers from Quooz in exchange for an honest review of their products.
Why I Love Diffusers
Diffuser are wonderful way to enjoy the aromatic benefits of essential oils. What I love most about diffusers is that they use a very small amount of essential oils (often 3-4 drops if using a single oil), yet you get to reap the benefits of having the aroma in the air for many hours. Also it gives the whole family a chance to experience the oils as opposed to topical use where only one person benefits, unless of course everyone applies the oil. Some essential oils, like lemon, have purifying properties so putting it in your diffuser is a great natural way to cleanse and purify the air in your home!
Ok enough about why they are so wonderful, let’s move on to the things you will want to consider when you are shopping for an essential oil diffuser!
How to Choose an Essential Oil Diffuser
Shopping for a diffuser may sound like a fairly easy task however there are a few different elements that you will want to be sure you take into consideration!
1) Wording: Please make sure that you are looking at a diffuser and not a humidifier. While there are some humidifiers that are designed for essential oil use, they are rare so please be cautious when purchasing.
2) Timing: Diffusers vary a lot when it comes to how long they run for. It is common for diffusers to run for at least 4 hours on a continuous basis. That being said, there are also diffusers that allow you to set the several minutes of ‘on time’ and the number of minutes of ‘off time’ which allows the on/off time to run (in most cases) on a cycle. Different diffusers last for different lengths of time, so think about how long you would ideally like your diffuser to run for before purchasing. I would like to note that there is no perfect length of run time that you should strive for, I have 4 different diffusers all of which have settings to run for different amounts of time and I use each for different reasons.
3) Water: If you plan to make a lot of diffuser blends, you will want a diffuser that uses water Generally speaking, the more water a diffuser can hold, the longer it will run for.
4) Lighting: Some diffusers will have a built-in LED light. Lights can help add an element of relaxation, assuming you like the look of it of course. Some will also allow you adjust the level of light which helps you customize the look to what works for you.
Quooz Essential Oil Diffuser Review:
I am going to review each of the diffusers based on the criteria I added above to help make it easier to follow along with.
I love the smooth and modern look of this diffuser (blue diffuser in image above). This diffuser also comes in lime, orange, grey and rose.
Wording: The Lull diffuser is advertised as having five functions in one. These functions are purifier, aroma diffuser, ionizer, humidifier, and night-light. The Lull (and Rockano) have the dual feature of being a diffuser and a humidifier.
Timing: The Lull has the longest potential running time of any diffuser I have owned. You can set the Lull to run on a continuous setting which will run for 8-10 hours or you can have it set to intermittent mist mode which will allow it to run for up to 18 hours!
Water Level: The Lull has a large 200ml water reservoir which helps this diffuser to have such a long run time!
Lighting: The Lull has an adjustable energy-saving light. You can choose to have the light off, set at a particular light level, or you can allow it to cycle through the different light levels.
Other Features: The Lull is very quiet when running and once it has used all the water in the reservoir, it will automatically shut off.
The Rockano has a very unique look which reminds me of a crystal, especially when it is lit up. This diffuser comes in cobalt blue, peach, and toffee. As you can see in the picture above, I received the toffee coloured diffuser.
Wording: The Rockano diffuser (like the Lull) is advertised as having five functions in one. These functions are purifier, aroma diffuser, ionizer, humidifier, and night-light.
Timing: I love that the Rockano lets you choose between 2 different mist output settings. You can choose ‘high mist’ which will allow the diffuser to run for up to 5 hours or you can choose ‘regular mist’ which allows it to run for up to 10 hours. You can actually see the difference in the mist output if you switch from one output to the other.
Water Level: The Rockano (like the Lull) has a very large 200ml water reservoir.
Lighting: The Rockano has an adjustable energy-saving light. You can choose to have the light off, set at a particular light level, or you can allow it to cycle through the different light levels.
Other Features: The Rockano has a separate button for each mist output (high & regular) level. This diffuser is very quiet at both running levels and will turn off at the end.
The Winner (for me):
I have to say that I was not very aesthetically pleased with the Rockano when I first saw it online however when it was delivered to my home, my opinion changed. The Toffee colour I have combined with using the LED light reminds me of a salt lamp which I have always thought were beautiful. I also like that I can choose the output level to suit my needs and that there is a separate setting for each level.
For me the winner and diffuser of choice is the Rockano.
However, I really like that the Lull can run intermittently (on & off) for up to 18 hours without having to touch it which would be perfect for cleansing the air in your home all day long. The Lull also has a visual appeal which I believe more people may be attracted to (like I was from the start).
If you are in the market for an essential oil diffuser, I would strongly recommend either of these 2 Quooz diffusers!
