Essential Oils for Energy

Feeling tired and looking for a natural energy boost? Learn about essential oils for energy including singles oils, oil blends & DIY diffuser blends!Full disclosure, I have had one heck of a time getting to this post! I know exactly what I want to say but I just haven’t been able to get to it. But today I am feeling determined and I want to get it out to you! I am someone who doesn’t overly enjoy the heat so when it gets warm (I consider anything over 20 degrees Celsius hot haha), I feel sick and extremely tired! The heat has definitely been impacting my productivity and energy levels.

Today I put some oils from this post to use and I am feeling energized and ready to share some essential oils for energy with you!

Essential Oils for Energy

In this post, I will share a few essential oils, blends, and diffuser recipes that can all help to give you a natural energy boost!

Please note that I encourage you to try the different oils in this post. However, try one for a day or two, if it doesn’t work move on to the next one. If you try to use too many oils at once it may be hard to decipher which one(s) work best for you.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint is an oil that people often turn to for an extra pep in your step! I personally find that it is really beneficial to use peppermint early in the morning! I wouldn’t advise using it later in the evening as it can be quite stimulating and will likely make it difficult to get to sleep! Peppermint is also a great essential oil to help with memory so it’s a great option to use when studying!

Citrus Essential Oils

I find citrus essential oils to be very invigorating! Lemon, orange, grapefruit and lime are all very invigorating and great for energy! That said, it is important to be cautious when using these oils, especially in the summer months! Citrus oils are some of many photosensitive oils which means you should not expose your skin to direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after topical use. A good option would be to use them in the diffuser instead (see recipe below). You can learn which oils are photosensitive and safety tips for using them here!

There’s a great diffuser blend using orange and peppermint essential oils below!

Frankincense Essential Oil

Seriously, is there anything this oil can’t do? It’s called the king of oils for a reason, so it’s no surprise that frankincense is another wonderful essential oil to get invigorate you!  Many people use frankincense as part of their daily essential oil routine to help promote cellular health and overall wellness so the fact that it helps with energy is definitely an added bonus!

Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary is a great essential oil to turn to when you need focused energy! As you may know, rosemary is an excellent essential oil to help increase focus and memory while also having a scent that naturally energizes you! It’s great for students to use in the diffuser when studying for exams! I definitely wish I used essential oils when I was in university!

Essential Oil Blends for Energy

Elevation Essential Oil Blend

Elevation is a great blend from doTERRA that is known as the joyful blend! In the summertime, I prefer to use it on the soles of my feet as it is a photosensitive blend. I have also really benefited from using equal parts of Elevation & Balance to help me get moving in the morning! I find this blend works very well on dark winter mornings.

You can get both of these blends here or learn about getting them at a wholesale price here!

Motivate Essential Oil Blend

As the name states, this blend for doTERRA is perfect for helping you to feel motivated and energized! It reminds me somewhat of my energy boost diffuser blend above, as it uses peppermint and clementine essential oils along with coriander, yuzu, basil, melissa, rosemary & melissa! You can get it here!

Passion Essential Oil Blend

Last but not least, my very favourite essential oil blend of all time! I absolutely LOVE the scent of this oil and I often use it as a perfume on my wrists. I find that it helps to give me a nice little energy boost and I actually notice when I don’t use it! The purpose of this oil is to help you feel passionate and combat boredom when working on a project or activity! You can get it here!
