Today I am sharing a homemade essential oil bubble bath recipe. Now before we get into the post it’s important to know this isn’t a traditional bubble bath. It won’t foam/suds up the same as a traditional bubble bath. It will suds up a bit though! It is also great for moisturizing your skin and thanks to the ylang ylang, it’s very relaxing!
CAUTION: I have mentioned this below but please use caution when using this in the bath as the almond oil makes it very slippery!
Ok, let’s get to the recipe!

Homemade Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Bubble Bath
What you need:
- 1 cup Dr. Bronners Liquid Castile Soap (Citrus)
- 1/2 cup vegetable glycerin
- 1/2 tablespoon almond oil
- 12 drops ylang ylang essential oil
- Glass storage jar
Directions:
1) Gather all the ingredients.
2) In a large bowl, whisk them together well.
3) Pour into a glass jar to store.
Yield: 2 baths (use about half a jar per bath)
How to Use It:
These bubbles smell amazing but don’t last long (the scent does though). My advice is to add them to your bath when the tub is about 3/4 full.
Caution: The addition of almond oil makes your skin super silky! However, it also makes the bath a bit slippery so take care when coming out.
There you have it, homemade essential oil bubble bath! Stay tuned next month when the oil of the month is tea tree!

I’m really excited to try this. I have made bath bombs with essential oils, but I have never tried just doing a bubble bath. Great idea!
I love baths with essential oils! Can’t wait to try this one too, thanks for sharing!
