Why Winnie the Pooh & Friends Need Essential Oils

Essential oils to benefit each of the winnie the pooh character's main challenges and struggles. Essential Oil Humour. www.paintedteacup.comWinnie the Pooh characters are great in depicting a group that CLEARLY NEED Essential Oils! I hope this light-hearted post will help you in understanding the various ways essential oils can be used. I am going to talk about the main challenges each character faces, although they all have very positive characteristics, that will not be the main focus of today’s post.

Poor Winnie the Pooh, he just can’t help it when he sees a pot of honey, hungry or not he dives right in. Now I’m centering Pooh Bear out here but let’s face it, we have all been guilty of this from time to time! This calls for the essential oil Metabolic Blend! It helps to keep you feeling fuller longer, helping you to control your cravings! Poor Pooh is always saying ‘oh bother’ or ‘think, think, think’. His memory is not always on his side. Both Clove and Clary Sage are recommended to help improve your memory and Rosemary is recommended in helping to stimulate memory.

Piglet seems to be fearful of many things, the main ones being Heffalumps and Woozles! Whether this is generalized fear or anxiety of some kind, there are essential oils that can be used to help. There are many essential oils Piglet can use to help manage his fear including the Grounding Blend, Ylang Ylang and Wild Orange. He could also benefit from using the Calming Blend in helping him to relax after an episode of fear.

Tigger is a very happy, fun-loving guy who literally bounces off the walls. Tigger could use some help with focusing his attention and reducing hyperactivity! The Focus Blend is great in helping to reduce distractions – I use it when I get distracted while writing my blog posts! Like Piglet, Tigger could also benefit from using the Calming Blend to help him settle down and focus. Additionally Tigger could use Lavender or the Grounding Blend to help manage his hyperactivity.

Poor Eeyore, the guy never seems to be having a good day and is literally a ‘blue’ character. We have all had days like this, some of us more than others! On days when I am feeling, tired, down and defeated I use the Grounding Blend to help feel more stabilized which I use in combination with the Joyful Blend which really helps, to uplift your mood! Citrus essential oils such as Lemon and Wild Orange are also very helpful in uplifting mood as are the Invigorating and Grounding Blends.

While Rabbit may have good intentions, he is often very irritable/agitated. Great essential oils for helping with agitation are Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Geranium. Again, I am human (shhh don’t tell anyone :p ) and sometimes can feel quite agitated. When this happens I will use the Calming Blend or the Focus Blend in combination with 10 minutes of peace and quiet to help me feel better.

Unfortunately the characters in Winnie the Pooh do not use essential oils! Although this was meant to be somewhat funny, I hope it also helped you in making connections regarding oils to use for various concerns. If not for you, then for a friend or family member!
